They say money is power. It is in fact true. Money gives you the freedom to dictate how you want your resources to be utilized. It is really important to be aware of it. People might have money but most people are unaware of its power. And because there is power it needs to be used judiciously. One wrong decision and the power gets lost. Financial literacy is the presence of awareness and decision making ability in an individual which helps him\/her to make wise decisions. These decisions include the where to keep money, how to earn money, how to keep money, how to protect money, how to grow money, how to secure money, how to spend money and most importantly, how not to spend money. All these things are not taught in school and one learns these skills only with the passage of time in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are six components of financial literacy. A financially literate person knows well to decide to<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. How to earn money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. How to save money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. How to spend money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. How to invest money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. How to plan for life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
6. How to be productive monetarily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
